Dr. Kentaro Taki, Associate Professor

About the presenter:
Dr. Kentaro Taki was born in Osaka, Japan in 1972. He worked for the Shiga Prefectural Government and crafted policy for river improvement, river ecosystem restoration and floodplain management (1999-2017). He likes playing volleyball, skiing and kayaking. Dr. Taki also worked with JCMU (in East Lansing) for two years as the 20th Visiting Official from the Shiga Prefectural Government (2012-2014). During this time, the Taki family lived in East Lansing and experienced Michigan’s beautiful summer and severe winter. Before coming to Michigan, he had learned English in JCMU’s Hikone and Otsu classes. So he is one of the JCMU alumni.
