Thanksgiving: an American holiday celebrating family togetherness, good friends, and way more food than the average individual could possibly consume. To help bring the holiday over to our campus in Hikone, every year JCMU students & staff help put together a huge Turkey Day feast!
First up, making the food:
Hiraku’s never seen this much food before… But after all, what would a Thanksgiving feast be without a lifetime supply of mashed potatoes and turkey?
Next, getting the food:
Just like a traditional Turkey Day meal, there’s so much food that it ends up looking like a buffet line!
Finally, time to dig in!
Not pictured is the students complaining of being too full while going up for seconds – yet another Thanksgiving tradition.
For our fall students, not going home for Thanksgiving can sometimes be hard. However, we hope that we were able to bring a little bit of home to them for the holidays. To our JCMU friends & family around the world, we hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving yourselves!
